Hotel Midi-Zuid - Saint-Gilles

Conveniently located near Brussels Midi station, just a short 5-minute walk. The bed felt great, very comfortable for a good night's sleep. I appreciated the mini-fridge in the room for keeping drinks cool. The air conditioning didn't work, leaving the room quite warm. I also noticed unpleasant odors lingering in the hallway , a bit off-putting. Rooms could use some updates to facilities for a fresher feel. Easy check-in process helped kick off my stay on a positive note.

Reasonably sized and practical rooms.

Fairly clean PLEASANT accommodation with favourable location to the Royal palace and pleasant staff.

My room was fully-equipped and reasonably priced. The design was nice. Location: the hotel was close enough to a big market on the place in front, the tourist areas and a range of good food options and one cafe filled with men of North African origin drinking the au menthe, many spilling over on to the pavement after another.

Well-maintained bathrooms with basic amenities.

I felt unsafe walking in the area, especially at night. There were numerous homeless individuals nearby, made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Roadworks outside.

Very poor accommodation, no working plugs, smelly

Very spacious rooms and good facilities including unlimited Internet Access in lounge.Good continental breakfast, convenient 5 minute walk to Midi Railway Station made easy connections to Brussels Central and Nord for touring.

Squeezy two person lift, we were on the 6th floor, but really not that inconvenient.

Comfy bed and reliable heating made it a great choice. The location near midi-zuid was ideal for my travels in the city.

cramped, dingy, and my collegue had very smoke smelling, loud room (mine was OK). Pretty poor breakfast selection, but it was free. This hotel was overpriced for the quality - it should rate no more than 2 stars.

The room and bathroom were clean. View of back garden quite pleasant.

The hotel is near the Gare du Midi, but not in a pleasant area - next to a sex club, located on a very busy intersection, bleak surroundings, the walk to the old centre of town takes one through the immigrant area of Brussels - interesting and different, not what one expects visiting Brussels. The hotel staff were efficient, but reserved; continental breakfast average. Building is shabby, rooms not recently decorated. Tiny, rickety lift.

The location near midi-zuid was super convenient, and the room was clean with everything i needed. I enjoyed the comfort of the huge bed and friendly reception service.

There was free Wi-Fi in all rooms and the service in general was excellent!

We were very happy with the desk staff. We had questions about transportation within Brussels, and both employees we saw were actively helpful beyond what is necessary. The online booking was also quite easy, and we felt we got good value in having been able to book (3 days) at a reduced rate.

The neighbourhood - no fault of the hotel - is a little down-at-heel, but on the other hand it is perfect for travel with the Eurostar, just across the street at Brussel-Zuid station.
